Burnley – Tottenham. Premier League – Round 27

Match preview

Starting the weekend just three points above the relegation zone, Burnley will be eager to get a result against Tottenham and continue their Premier League (PL) resurgence. The Lancashire side are amid their best form this season, having gone seven league games undefeated (W4, D3). In those seven games, they have failed to score just once.
Despite their improvement, it’s a tall order to get any result against Tottenham. The ‘Clarets’ are yet to beat any side inside the PL top-nine this season, losing nine of their 11 H2H matches (D2, L9). To change that record, they must tighten up defensively. Across those 11 matches, they conceded an average of 2.63 goals per game.
Across all competitions, it’s four straight wins for Tottenham as they look to be mounting a serious challenge for the PL title. Their league form on the road so far has been unrivalled, having won 11 of their 13 away matches. Six of those 11 wins were also accompanied by a clean sheet. Even better for Mauricio Pochettino’s men is the fact they have won all 16 matches this season against teams inside the PL bottom 11.
Tottenham haven’t tasted defeat against Burnley in any of the nine previous meetings (W6, D3). Additionally, they have conceded just one goal in their previous four visits to Turf Moor.
Players to watch: Forward Chris Wood (BUR) has three league goals in his previous three matches, but only one home league goal in six scored this season.
Son Heung-Min (TOT) has stepped up in the absence of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, scoring four goals in his previous four competitive matches.
Stat attack: Burnley have conceded 29.79% of their PL goals after the 75th minute.
Four of Burnley’s last five PL goals have been in the second half.
Tottenham have scored the opening goal in 73.08% of their league games.

My prediction: Tottenham to win for @1.73 (Winline)
