Profitable Sports Bets With Free No-Vig Calculator

Okay, so you’re line shopping, and you see differences in the odds between two different online sportsbooks. Oh, great, it appears you found a better price on the betting market you are looking at and want to make a bet. Not so fast. One thing that we cannot stress enough is that you should be putting the odds from sharper sportsbooks into the no-vig calculator and looking for other betting opportunities elsewhere.

The two sharpest sportsbooks online are Pinnacle Sports and Bookmaker.eu. Beating the closing line at Pinnacle Sports should be the goal for sports bettors across all online betting markets. Pinnacle isn’t available for those living in the United States, while Bookmaker.eu takes citizens from the U.S. and most other countries. We don’t recommend betting at Bookmaker.eu as a first option, due to their sharp odds, but they are one of the most reliable when it comes to payouts.

Comparing Sportsbooks Odds In Vigorish Calculator

If we look at the odds below, many bettors will make the mistake of thinking that they have an edge just because they see +377 at Pinnacle and +385 at Bovada. While it is true that placing a bet at +377 instead of +385 is certainly a bad move – that doesn’t make a wager at +385 a +EV bet, by default.

  • Pinnacle Sports: -440 and +377
  • Bovada: -475 and +385

But, let’s look when we plug Pinnacle’s numbers into the no-vig calculator.

Using no-vig calculator

As you can see, the +385 at Bovada doesn’t quite beat Pinnacle’s no-vig odds. To overcome the no-vig odds, we’d need to find odds of +388 or better. When considering on wagering on underdogs, the goal is to have a higher number than the no-vig odds spit out by our calculator.

Vig Calculator Sportsbook Odds Example

Let’s look at another example, except this time with a favorite.

  • Pinnacle Sports: -170 and +140
  • Bovada: -160 and +130

Using no-vig calculator with a favorite

As you can see, even though Pinnacle’s odds are -170 and we found -160 at Bovada – the bet is still not beating the no-vig odds. We would need to find this bet at -151 or better to beat the no-vig odds. When betting a favorite, the goal is to look for odds lower than the no-vig price.

Optimizing Your Bets with the No-Vig Odds Calculator

The best bettors don’t just bet—they understand how odds work and how to use them to their advantage. If you want to take your sports betting knowledge to the next level, learning how to read and interpret odds correctly is a must. Knowing when a line offers genuine value and when a sportsbook’s margin is cutting into your profits can make all the difference.

By mastering no-vig calculations, you’re already a step ahead of the average bettor. But to truly maximize your betting potential, you need to grasp the fundamentals of reading and analyzing odds across different formats and markets. Whether it’s American, Decimal, or Fractional odds, understanding their implications is key to identifying profitable betting opportunities.
